Protect PDF

Encryption: AES-256, the strongest standard PDF encryption. Required to open and to print/copy.

User vs Owner password:

• User password — required to open the PDF. Without it, the PDF cannot be viewed.
• Owner password — controls editing/printing/copying restrictions. Leave blank to use the same as the user password.

Important: there is no recovery — if you forget the password, the PDF stays locked. We allow printing and copying for password-holders by default.
